Catawumpus LLC is a small independent software company. We build apps for iPhone that are calm to use, private by default, and free of the engagement machinery that makes most software exhausting.

Wellspring Journal is a private prayer journal for iPhone and iPad. Capture prayers quickly, organize them, add follow-up notes, and remember the prayers that have been answered.

Your private journal is free. An optional Wellspring Premium subscription unlocks Circles, where invited people can share prayers and pray together using Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services.

How we work

A few commitments that apply to everything we ship:

• Your data stays yours. What you create in our apps is stored on your device and, where an app offers sync or sharing, in iCloud rather than on a server of ours.
• Private by default. Our apps ship without analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers. If that ever changes in a product, we'll say so plainly rather than bury it.
• No dark patterns. No manufactured urgency, no guilt, no mechanics designed to pull you back in.
• You can leave. Your data belongs to you and goes with you.
